We are proud to present the ‘Ludum mutante’ or to you and I the game changer! This brand-new design is the first trolley of its kind in the Funeral, Mortuary and NHS sector. We have listened to our customers and taken ideas from our current range to make this new Twigg trolley the best in the Industry.
Starting from the base upwards we have looked at what the market needed. There was no low-level trolley capable of lifting from 260mm high to 1960mm high. We conquered this by building on our existing low level trolley design to ensure this is a proper 5 tier machine. If the customer utilises our racking it will provide gaps of 375mm per shelf which is deep enough for storage of any tray or coffin.
Secondly, we looked at the power drive system as we needed something better and more reliable than what the competition is offering. We achieved this by sourcing a proven product that is already in use throughout Europe. We have secured exclusivity for the UK market so no other mortuary trolley manufacturer can obtain this power-driven equipment in the UK. No need for expensive patents!
The drive wheel is designed to turn the trolley 360 degrees on its own at the touch of one button. This ensures tight spaces can be easily negotiated. For example, the operator does not need to approach the fridge straight on, they can approach from any angle; a touch of sideways shift and they are then square on to remove a tray or coffin. This saves both time and personal injury from having to align something that is big and heavy. The drive wheel handle grips work on touch and just need the slightest movement to send the trolley forwards or backwards. This makes the driving experience effortless and extremely easy for those operators of smaller stature. The drive wheel is of solid design so worn out mobility scooter tyres are a thing of the past!
We have redesigned the hydraulic system to ensure the ram is powered in both directions. This always provides the operator with complete control regardless of weight. There is no reliance on gravity facilitating the downward motion of the framework. If a customer is going to the expense of having power driven wheels and roller then they want a suitable safe working load to match their investment. This is why we have ensured that this trolley has a 400kg/63 stone unit safe working load as standard.
The top bed has been fitted with dual powered rollers which will single handedly pull more than the safe working load. These ensure that the tray or coffin is always in touch with a powered roller. We can provide various options for tray catches, so the tray is not only held in place with this but also the powered roller.
