The Dignified NHS Head Block

Designed in conjunction with University Hospital of Southampton NHS Trust, the Head Block retains the patients dignity whilst in the care of the Mortuary or Funeral Home.

The Dignified NHS Head Block was designed to take into consideration the natural position of a person when laid down for family and friends to be able to see their loved ones in a more respectful way.

It provides a practical aspect of controlling the purging associated with pulmonary oedema and reduces the need to extensively wash the patient. A small hole allows fluid to drain away and is easy to clean.
